Auditions for Stoned Twelfth Night
Bowls with the Bard is excited to announce auditions for our stoned production of Twelfth Night, directed by Paige Flores-Medrano. Actors must be comfortable around marijuana but not all actors are required to smoke. Actors must be 21+ by March of 2025 to audition.
Auditions will be held Thursday, December 5 from 7pm until 10pm, Friday December 6 from 7pm until 10pm, and callbacks will be held by appointment on December 7 from 2pm until 5pm. Video auditions will be accepted under the condition that you are available for callbacks. To ensure we see as many new auditioners as possible, if you have acted in a previous Bowls with the Bard production, you may skip initial auditions and schedule a callback time.
To audition please prepare one 90 second Shakespearean monologue, preferably in verse.
We will rehearse Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from February 4 through April 2 in Denver. Performances will be held at the Coffee Joint April 3 - April 6, 2025, April 10 - 12, and April 14 from 6:30 - 9:30pm.

Track 1: Viola: Trans Masc Nonbinary - Pays $550.
Track 2: Sebastian/Valentine/Fabian - Pays $550.
Track 3: Antonio/Feste (Fool) - Pays $550.
Track 4: Olivia/Orsino: Trans Femme Nonbinary - Pays $550.
Track 5: Maria/Curio - Pays $550.
Track 6: Sir Toby Belch - Pays $550.
Track 7: Andrew - Pays $550.
Track 8: Malvolio/Captain/Priest/Officer/Servant: Drag Character - To audition for this role, please bring a photo or video representation of your drag character. You are not required to show up in drag, but may if you would like. - Pays $550
Track 9: The musician. This performer will not act in the play. They will be asked to work with us to score it. Experience with multiple instruments is preferred. If you would like to submit for this role, please send us a video of you playing all instruments you play. We may have you attend callbacks based on your submission. Pays $599.
We will cast 2 swings to cover all acting roles. Swings will be paid $650.
All cast members will split 10% of ticket sales in addition to their initial stipend.
